桐朋学園大学卒業後、ロータリー財団国際親善奨学金を得て、ニューヨーク州立大学パーチェス校に留学、修士号、アーティストディプロマ修得。 ２００５年、イースタンウインズのメンバーとしてアーティストインターナショナル室内楽部門受賞、カーネギーホールにて受賞デビュー演奏会を行う。在学中 より、霧島国際音楽祭、サラソタ音楽祭、バイロイト青年芸術祭等に参加。カナダ、ハリファックスにおける　Scotia Festifal of Musicより木管五重奏グループの一員としても、招聘される。現在、クイーンズカレッジ、プリカレッジ講師。

Akari Yamamoto attended the Toho Gakuen School of Music in Tokyo where she received her BM. Upon graduation, she was awarded the Rotary International Ambassadorial Scholarship and moved to New York in 2000 to study further at SUNY at Purchase where she completed her MM and Artist diploma degrees. She has participated in many music festivals around the world including the Kirishima International Music Festival (Japan), Sarasota Music Festival (Florida) and the Bayreuth Young Musicians Festival (Germany).
