１９９９年第６８回日本音楽コンクール第１位入賞、その他受賞多数。２００１年より現代音楽演奏集団 next mushroom promotion メンバー、２００６年にはサントリー音楽財団より佐治敬三賞を受賞。ソリストとしてオーケストラとの共演やリサイタルの開催、室内楽やオーケストラへの客 演、国内外の音楽祭への出演等多岐にわたる演奏活動を展開している。２０１０年より大阪音楽大学講師。

A native of Japan, Nozomi Ueda completed her undergraduate studies at the Osaka College of Music. After receiving her Bachelor’ s degree, she went to the United States and completed her Master’ s degree at the Juilliard studying with Charles Neidich and Ayako Oshima. Returning to Japan in 1999, she won first prize in the 68th Japan Music Competition. Since then, she has been performing as a recitalist, chamber musician, and orchestra player. She is presently a member of “Next Mushroom Promotion,” an ensemble specializing in contemporary music, and is on the faculty of the Osaka College of Music.
